Cherry and Maxie's Story

Meet Cherry and Maxie, a dynamic, 4-month-old pair of black-and-white "cow cat" bonded siblings looking for their forever home together!

These adorable tuxedo-patched cuties balance each other out perfectly and must be adopted as a pair.

Cherry (with the black smudge on her nose) is the adventurous leader of the duo. She is very curious, brave, and always the first to investigate a new toy or room. Cheery purrs up a storm the second you pick her up. She is highly Churu-motivated and super playful, making her an absolute joy to interact with.

Maxie is Cherry's side-kick. A bit more skittish and reserved than her sister, but her sweet personality shines bright once he feels safe. While she might take a little longer to warm up to new situations, she absolutely loves playtime and can't resist a good game with a wand toy. Just like Cherry, she is highly treat-motivated, which is the perfect way to win her trust and build confidence!

Ideal Home: This pair would thrive best in a home that can give Maxie a little time to settle in. Having her brave sister Cherry by her side gives her all the confidence she needs! They are perfect for anyone looking to double their love, entertainment, and purrs.

Potential adopters complete an online application. All applications are then reviewed and potential candidates are contacted for a phone interview/conversation to ask/answer questions, determine if the cat is a good match for their home/family, and then discuss next steps. If both sides want to move forward, we ask for a video tour of the home and also any relevant medical records for their resident cat. Additional conversations often follow - suggestions for addressing potential hazards in the home (e.g. poisonous plant). If everything checks out with those two items, the adoption is approved and adopter is given information on supplies to purchase.
