Cherokee's Story

Cherokee is a special little kitten who would do best in a home who can adore her and be responsible with her medical needs going forward. She's a gentle, loving kitten that purrs nonstop when being held or talked to, and absolutely loves being carried around like a baby. She's obsessed with her spinning feather toy, which she chases around her room.
Cherokee has tested positive for a regressive form of Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). A regressive infection means that she was exposed to it in the past, but her immune system is currently keeping the virus suppressed at very low levels. She still has lots of kitten energy, eats well, and has no issues taking care of herself! Cherokee presents as a happy, spunky girl that wants to be everyone's friend.
We understand that FeLV can sound a bit scary, and we will be happy to talk this out with adopters as they come in to meet her. Kittens who've tested positive can still live happy lives, they just need a family who can understand her diagnosis and are willing to take care of possible medical needs in the future.
She doesn't know she's 'different,' and has that same amount of love to share as any other kitten! If you would be willing to give this girl a home, please submit an adoption application and come in to meet her. We are willing to answer all of your questions!
