Cheddar's Story

**This animal is in foster care and not at the shelter for viewing**

Meet Cheddar!

Cheddar was adopted out and then returned. She is now ready to find a calm and quiet forever home!

Cheddar is a shy little slice of sweetness with a soft-orange coat and an even softer heart. She's a true shadow cat, quietly padding after her favorite humans but keeping just enough distance to feel safe. Cheddar is still worried about being touched, so she's looking for someone patient who understands that trust takes time and that affection for her may look more like quiet companionship than cuddles.

She would do best in an adult-only home where life moves at a gentle pace and she can build confidence without loud surprises. Cheddar is perfectly comfortable with other cats and may even benefit from having a calm feline friend to show her the ropes.

Cheddar absolutely adores cozy hiding spots and can often be found huddled under blankets or tucked away in a soft, safe nook where she feels secure. These little retreats are her comfort zone and an important part of helping her settle in and feel at ease.

In her private moments, Cheddar reveals her playful side. She has a special fondness for batting around little balls, entertaining herself with adorable focus when she thinks no one is watching. With time, kindness, and understanding, this tender-hearted feline will slowly melt into a loyal, peaceful presence.

Cheddar is currently taking a medication called Gabapentin to help with anxiety and while she may not need this long-term once she is settled in a forever home, any changes should only be made in consultation with a vet.

If you're looking for a gentle companion to nurture at her own speed, Cheddar might be the perfect match - quiet, quirky, and just waiting for the right person to appreciate her unique flavor. If you think your home would be a good environment for Cheddar, apply to adopt her today! Primary Color: Orange Tabby - Classic Weight: 2.8kg Age: 1yrs 4mths 1wks Animal has been Spayed
