Checkers's Story
A cardboard box.
Left outside a Jack in the Box.

Inside? Three lives.

A shocked Good Samaritan found them and knew she couldn't just walk away. She brought them home temporarily and reached out for help. We said yes - and now they're safe in our care, ready for the next chapter of their story.

Meet the trio who never should have been left behind:

Tom Cruise - Male, black domestic shorthair
Our confident charmer. Playful, friendly, and the first to greet you at the door. He rubs against your legs like you're the best part of his day (because you are). He appears closely bonded with his box-mates and looks to them often.

Cilantro - Male, black domestic shorthair
The sensitive soul. Timid and understandably scared at first, but gentle and accepting of being held and petted. He leans into comfort once he knows he's safe. He's deeply connected to the other two and finds reassurance in their presence.

Checkers - Female, calico beauty
Absolutely gorgeous and a little thin, but gaining strength. She's sweet, quiet, and affectionate once she settles in. She rubs against you softly and allows gentle handling without a hint of aggression. Brave girl.

All three seem to know one anotherand have clearly been each other's comfort through something confusing and scary.

They were discarded once.
They will not be discarded again.

Now they need a home - or homes - filled with patience, kindness, and unconditional love. A place where cardboard boxes are for toys... not abandonment.

If you believe every cat deserves a safe landing and a forever commitment, come meet this resilient trio. Their next chapter should be the best one yet.
