Charlie's Story

Welcome Sweet Charlie girl to our rescue line-up! Charlie was found outside in the heavy summer rain by a good Samaritan that couldn't bear to leave her behind. Even though she was allergic to cats, she brought her inside and got her all dried, fed, and warmed up. She reached out to the rescue asking for help, and we stepped up to bring her into a foster to find her a safe home. She settled in beautifully and is ready for the world to get to know her!

Charlie learned quickly how to use the litter box and does very well with keeping it clean. She is ULTRA playful (still very much a kitten) and enjoys spring toys, spinning balls, and other soft toys. She also likes her crinkle tunnel and will chase after string toys during playtime with the child in her foster home (see photos above). Charlie is a little skittish with new people and will hide especially if they are loud. Her foster home is comprised of a mom and her daughter, and sometimes the grandmother, so a quiet house is what Charlie shows the most confidence in. Charlie is quiet herself, doesn't meow much, and is very observant and curious of her surroundings. When she gets picked up, she will melt and snuggle right into you for comfort and affection.

On a calm weekend afternoon at her foster home, Charlie will lay on her cat tree or go snack on her kibble. She does get these little zoomies and likes to run around the living room. She is slowly starting to explore more of the house where she if staying during her foster period. She will just need some time to warm up and trust new people in a new home, but in the end this girl will be totally worth it!

Charlie is UTD on vaccinations, but is not yet spayed due to her age.The good news is that because we are a licensed, registered 501(c)3 rescue with the state of NJ, she is eligible to be spayed for just $20 with proof of adoption (adoption contract) through the NJ Low Cost Spay/Neuter Grant Program. It's super-easy, just present our contract at a participating vet and make the spay appt! Our local vet participates, and you may just find yours does too!

APPLY TO ADOPT NOW!!

https://rosemariesrescueranch.com/cat-adoption/

In the Consideration section, under 'Application Notes', please tell us about yourself to help us get a feel for you and your family, and as a fit for the pet you are interested in.
