Chap's Story

Hi, I'm Chap, my foster family calls me Chappy.

I spent my first year on the streets where a kind woman took care of me. Then Kitty Connection took me in, and now I'm in a foster home loving living indoors. My foster family says I'm one of the sweetest cats they've met. I greet them every time they walk into a room, and I purr the second someone pets me. I love being close to my people, I'm just still figuring out how.

Sometimes I'll flop on my back and show my belly because I feel safe. I'm not quite ready for belly rubs or lap-sitting yet, but my foster mom says I get a little closer every day. You'll usually find me on a windowsill, tucked in a cozy nook, or napping near my foster mom while she works. I just like being nearby.

I've got a lot of energy and curiosity. My favorite game is hiding in my play tunnel while someone dangles a wand toy just out of reach. I could play that forever, and I'm always up for a new toy.

I think I'd thrive with a home that isn't in a rush, one that lets me set the pace for cuddles and trust, but still gives me plenty of playtime and a cozy spot to call mine. I would do best in a house where I am the only cat and can soak up all of the attention.

If you're looking for a young cat with a huge heart, playful spirit and a lot of love to give, I might be your guy. I can't wait to find out what "home" really means.
