Upset, overwhelmed, and completely out of his element, he lunged and slapped with daggers drawn, fully prepared to defend himself from this strange new world.<br/><br/>But underneath that tough exterior was simply a cat who needed time.<br/>After being given the space to decompress and adjust, his attitude shifted beautifully. To keep everyone safe during that transition, he wore soft nail caps while he acclimated. And once he realized he was safe -- truly safe -- everything changed.<br/><br/>Taking a chance on him after that first encounter was absolutely a leap of faith. But it was the right one. His response to fear used to be fight.<br/>Now? He understands safety. Security. The comfort of human connection.<br/>And that has made all the difference. <br/><br/>He's doing fantastic now -- and what a transformation it's been.<br/>These days, he absolutely adores attention. He'll even "reach out" and gently tap you to let you know he'd like more. (Yes, the irony is not lost on us.)
