Champaign's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact EdGa for more information about this pet. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/

Meet Champaign, an adorable blue and white kitty with a unique personality and a striking appearance. Here's what makes him special, as well as some notes for potential adopters:

1. Charming Appearance: Champaign has a unique look with a 'Z' on his back and a mask on his face, earning him the nickname "Zorro".

2. Sweet Voice: His meows are endearing, especially when he's rubbing against your legs and meowing for food as you prepare his meals.

3. Easygoing Eater: Champaign isn't a picky eater and transitions between foods without issue.

4. Plant-Friendly: He lives harmoniously with plants and doesn’t chew on them.

5. Furniture-Friendly: He refrains from scratching furniture, making him an excellent housemate.

6. Patient Morning Routine: Champaign won’t wake you up early demanding breakfast. He waits patiently until you wake up, showing his gentle nature.

7. Gentle: Although he may hiss frequently, he has grown to not scratch or bite, and he tolerates having his nails trimmed.

At times, Champaign can be shy so he would do best in a quiet home without too much commotion. He would love to be somebody’s quiet reading companion or friend for naps. He does love to be pet when he’s in his little hut and he adores being brushed.

Please note: Champaign has a history of urinary issues so the vet recommended a prescription diet of Hills c/d food. He is currently on this diet and is doing great with the c/d food! We also like to increase his water intake when possible, so we generally will mix some water into his food. Also, Champaign has been around other cats all of his life so he is more than happy to go to a home that already has a friendly feline. If you don't have another cat at home, that works too! He would love to chill as an only-cat too. If you have room for 2 cats in your life, Champaign's best friend is Rochester who is also available for adoption. While they would love to go home together, they are not bonded, so they would be happy going together or separately.

Champaign is looking for a loving home where he can continue to blossom. If you’re seeking a unique and charming companion, Champaign might just be your perfect match!

Champaign is microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained. Champaign’s adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Champaign, please fill out our Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! We are
based in Wheaton, IL and conduct adoption events in the DuPage County area. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/

Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/

As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.
