Cessna's Story
Cessna wants you to know he’s made a lot of personal progress in the last few months! In the Spring of 2024, he was trapped and brought to the shelter by the property manager of an apartment complex who was trying to clear out strays. We didn't realize he was feral upon arrival and it took the volunteers months to socialize him. We have some mighty loyal volunteers here who took a lot of time and patience to help him learn to trust people. Once he was neutered, tested, out of quarantine and moved to a room, we learned that he really liked other cats and would head butt his roommates to communicate affection. Really heartwarming to see! Cessna wants love and pets and someone to talk to him, but he isn't crazy about being picked up and held. He'd like a home with another non-alpha cat (he's partial to the females) where he can be rather independent and go at his own pace. He loves to sit in the windows and bird watch or sun bathe most of the day. Cessna will require a calm home as he is easily fightened because of his past.He does not really like the shelter dog who roams the hallway but he might do well with a smaller calm dog. He would not appreciate the unpredictability of young children.

Please consider making an appointment to see if Cessna would be the right fit for your household. We'd really like to see this boy get a second chance!

FIV/FeLV negative

*Must be 21 or older to adopt
**Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius of Sharonville so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter.
