Meet Celeste 💛<br/><br/>Celeste’s story began in a place no mother should have to raise her babies—a small bodega, where she and her four beautiful kittens struggled to survive. Hungry and overlooked, she did what she had to do, scavenging for scraps just to keep herself going while she cared for her little ones.<br/><br/>While our Staten Island volunteers were in the area doing TNR, they happened to find her. The store owners were giving the kittens away for free, and we knew how easily that could end in heartbreak. We couldn’t leave them behind.<br/><br/>Now, Celeste and her babies are safe in a loving foster home. The kittens are already getting lots of attention, with applications pouring in—but Celeste is still waiting for her turn.<br/><br/>She is the definition of a devoted mother—gentle, loving, and resilient. Despite everything she’s been through, she trusted humans enough to let us help her, and she gave her babies the best start she could under impossible circumstances.<br/><br/>Celeste is about 1–2 years old and will be fully vetted soon. What she needs now is something she’s never truly had: a home where she is cherished, safe, and finally able to rest.<br/><br/>Her babies are finding their happy endings. Let’s make sure Celeste gets hers too. 💕
