Cecil's Story

Cecil came to Pixel Fund Rescue as a baby with damaged eyes. He was blind at that time and we were not sure if he would keep them. We treated Cecil while we waited for him to be big enough for surgery. With medications, serums, ointments, drops, and the dedication and perseverance of his foster, it turned out Cecil is now in fact not blind! He can see quite well even though his eyes are permanently scarred. To me his eyes look kinda goth punk. It's suits his personality. Due to his initial vision issues as a baby Cecil was raised as singleton. As a result he feels a bit entitled. On top of that, Cecil has a confident and audacious nature. Are water glasses safe from spillage. No. Will you find him in your cabinets? Probably. Will he be playing with something he shouldn't be? Most definately. Cecil is so smooth about it you can't help but forgive him. He is the cat form of TV insurance guy Mayhem. He is charming and likeable while leaving a wake of cat sacking behind him. Cecil's antics and energy are above regular cat level. On the plus side, Cecil loves people and loves attention, loves to be pet and is very loyal and attached to his humans. His ideal adopter is one that understands and can manage his level of mischief and laugh at his chicanery. Cecil would be great in a high energy home with lots going on and would be good with either another high energy cat to play with or a cat friendly doggo. Cecil would also be good as a single cat as long as adopter has enough feline enrichment to keep him occupied and will dedicate time to play and be with him. Cecil is not mean or rude. He's just full of roughhousing and hijinks. Due to Cecil's rambunctiousness, he is not recommended for small children or the elderly. Cecil is excellent with his litter box and faithfully uses the scratch boards and cat trees in his foster house. Cecil is lovingly fostered in northwest Orlando area.
