Cayenne's Story

Meet Cayenne ï ̧
Cayenne came into foster care in May 2025 from a feral colony in rural Colorado, along with 12 other kittens. Back then, she was the most frightened of the bunch—tiny, unsure, and doing her best to be invisible. But give a brave little kitten time, love, and patience, and magic happens.Today, Cayenne is the sweetest, most affectionate bed-sleeping kitty you could ever hope to meet. She’s playful, chatty, and lives for treats, pets, snuggles, and being close to her people. Once she trusts you, she’s all in—purring, cuddling, and talking your ear off about her day.Cayenne also has a very important role: she’s the chosen mama of her foster-bestie, Koocanusa (aka Kooka). Kooka decided early on that Cayenne was her person, and the two are completely inseparable. They play together, nap together, and give each other confidence and comfort. Because of this special bond, Cayenne and Kooka must be adopted together. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving girl with a beautiful rescue story—and a built-in best friend—Cayenne (and her little shadow Kooka) might just be your perfect match.
DOB May 2025
Children 12 and over.
Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/VHpQ7VQKQKI
foster: grmu
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!

$350 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.
