Catelyn's Story

My name is Catelyn, and I’m a Velcro cat. I know I’m a little “different”, but my foster says I’m loving, “super sweet and kind”. That makes me swell with pride, and I’ll even do elevator butt for you when I’m petted. I actually LIKE to be picked up, as it makes me feel secure, and I’ll purr loudly when I get attention. I adore humans, but I’ll consider sharing my kingdom with another non- dominant cat - if I must. In my youth, I was mis-treated by a child. Even though my foster mom assured me that it wasn’t my fault, I need a lot of assurance that I’m a good kitty. When I’m ignored, I have been known to pee inappropriately out of frustration, and I’m on a special urinary diet for that reason. The Feline Connection's Adoption Policy

The Feline Connection champions for cats who need homes and we are committed to finding each cat a safe and healthy permanent home. We work to find the best possible home matches for each of our stray, homelss or friendly colony cats based on their unique needs, and the needs of the adopter. We do not have a shelter location, so all of our animals are fostered with families in Rutland County, Vermont, mostly near Rutland. This gives us a unique capability to observe and interact with each cat in a relaxed home environment. Our conversation based adoption process starts with submitting an application followed by a conversation, vet and landlord check (if needed), and then cats visits and home visits as needed for the perfect match.
