Cat McAfee was left behind in a home with more than 10 other kitties when his owner moved out. The owner left the door open, and abandoned all of the animals. Fortunately myself and other rescuers were able to find warm places for Cat McAfee and all the others to go while the kitties wait for their furever homes! Cat is an adventurous, needy ball of fur! She doesn't ask for your time—she demands it. Whether she’s sitting on your laptop keyboard or rubbing her face on your legs, she thrives on being the center of her human's universe. While the other cats nap, Cat McAfee explores. She’s the one you’ll find perched on top of the kitchen sink, stealing a spatula to lick. She’s looking for a home that won’t mind a "shadow" following them from room to room. Adopters have to complete an application that includes personal references and a veterinary reference. I have volunteers that check on the references, and we confirm that they have properly vetted prior pets. They also have to detail other pets in their current household, and confirm that they will not declaw.
