Cat Foster Homes Urgently Needed

Milwaukee Pets Alive (MPA) is an all-volunteer, No Kill, 501c3 non-profit organization that focuses on saving those local animals that have been passed over by, would not be accepted into, or would be killed by other rescues and shelters and would have no other option for life except for through our organization. These animals may be shy, scared, under-socialized, injured, aged, differently-abled, have medical needs, or need extra resources – all deserve the chance to be loved and cherished. Their lives are important. <br/><br/>We couldn’t help these special animals of our community that we do if not for our wonderful foster families! MPA is an entirely foster home-based rescue. We do not have a physical shelter. The type of animals we rescue would not do well in such a setting, so it's a blessing for them to live in foster homes and not cages while they await adoption! But because our organization only utilizes foster homes, the number of lives we can save depends directly on the number of foster homes we have.<br/><br/>YOU are their only hope. The population of animals we serve do best in quiet, peaceful, tranquil adult-only foster homes with foster parents who are kind, gentle, patient, and understanding and want to help the life/lives they are bestowed with caring with reach their highest potential! We are always in great need of foster homes as described above that also have no other animals in them as many of the cats we help do best as only-animals.<br/><br/>MPA foster parents must be able to commit to their foster cat for as long as they need and until they are adopted.<br/><br/>We work closely with our foster parents and the animals in our program (we are family!). In order to do so, our foster families must be located in the Milwaukee Metro Area of Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Waukesha, and Ozaukee counties.<br/><br/>It's hard not to bond with a special kitty that you help through often a tough time in their lives...and not surprisingly, foster parents falling in love with their foster kitty happens quite often here! We have an extremely high foster to adoption rate! The selfless individuals who open their heart and home to an animal that needs them with the sole purpose of making that animal's life better is exactly the quality and character of person we seek in a permanent placement for one of our precious family members! If one of our foster parents is a fit for the long-term needs of one of our animals, a foster relationship often turns into an adoption!
