Cassoulet's Story

How can we describe Cassoulet?

The first thing you'll notice about her is that she is an absolute floof factory, the very model of a medium-haired domestic cat with the most perfect furry paws and an elegantly feathered tail ...

... which makes it all the funnier when she flops on the floor for a belly rub or runs so hard towards the food bowl she sails right past it. Because, really, she's just a goofy, loving girl who always wants to play, explore, and stick her face in the wet food. She is nothing if not entertaining. But she also loves a lap and a good snuggle session.

Of course she wants these things all on her own terms, and she'll let you know when she's had enough.

We'd even call her floofy, goofy, and spicy. Perhaps not always in that order.

Speaking of "spicy" ... Cassoulet is currently on a daily dose of gabapentin to take the edge off of her reactivity. Even though she's made a lot of progress, she still sometimes gets overstimulated during playing or petting and has been known to launch herself at passing ankles claws-first. Because of all of this, Cassoulet is looking for a cat-savvy adopter who will help her stay on her meds and is aware that they may have to dodge the odd pointy paw-swipe. She's also looking for a home without children.

Cassoulet would do well as an only cat, or as a companion to other cats who enjoy playing.

Apply to adopt at tenthlifecats.org/adopt.
