Casserole Dish's Story

Casserole Dish
Female DSH Orange Tabby
Estimated age: 1 year old

Casserole Dish came into the rescue from an individual who took care of numerous inside/outside cats. She contacted us when 3 cats had all given birth within a few days of each other and were raising their combined 9 kittens together in one of her rooms. The person reported that one of the 3 mom cats (Top Load Washer) that was also actually the mom of Casserole Dish and the other mom cat in the trio (Baytril).
All three of the mom cats were amazing in raising their 9 kittens in addition to 2 singletons that were added to the group. All of the kittens are old enough to get adopted themselves so now we are trying to find placement for the moms. Having lived primarily outside, she is still getting used to human interaction but is a curious cat who will never turn down a lickable cat treat! She would prefer a calmer environment and an understanding owner that it will take some time for her to start to be comfortable and that she may never be a social butterfly. She likes other cats and seems to always be at another cat's side so she would appreciate a cat friend that she can cling to.

Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption. She is also ear tipped.

Location: If you'd like to meet her, she's currently in residence at the Happy Cat Cafe. Visit www.happycatgr.com for more information.

If you are interested in adopting, fill out an application online at www.figandfriendspetrescue.org/adopt

Fig and Friends Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
~We do not adopt to homes with animals who are not spayed or neutered unless there is a valid reason such as vet recommendation. ~We do check references including landlord if you rent and your vet both past and present. ~We do not adopt to homes that plan on declawing the cat we have adopted out to you or that plan on letting a cat outside (unless on a leash and harness under owner's continued observation). ~If we see something on your application that we are concerned about, we will always try and have a conversation with you to find out the why. We understand you might have declawed a cat in the past or had to rehome an animal. It can happen to anyone. We like to dig deeper and won't deny someone just based on surface information.
