Cassandra (tripod)'s Story

This gal is one year old. It has not been a good year.

This kitty was found outside during those brutally cold weeks of deep snow and ice in February, and it looked like she had been living outside for some time. She was underweight, very hungry, and very scared. And that’s not even the worst of it. Her back right leg was missing, apparently crushed off somehow. It’s very lucky she didn’t bleed to death!

The strangest thing is that she was already spayed, so that means somebody had cared for her earlier in her life. And she’s clearly lived in a house before. She’s not at all bothered by noises and movements of household life, not even loudly barking dogs. In fact, she likes dogs, and also other cats.

At first Cassandra (or “Cassie”) was afraid of people, after all that time "on the streets," but it didn’t take long for her to trust again and show her true nature as a loving little cat. Now she’ll hop over to get a good petting, rolling her head around and purring like crazy.

Her perfect home would be with a cat-experienced person (or people) who would be understanding of her initial fear in a new environment with new people. Once she learns she's safe, she bonds deeply. She is so ready to be a loved and pampered house cat!

Application can be found online at https://secure.jotform.us/form/51263873139156
