Casey's Story
Casey is a 9 year old, Domestic Short Hair. She was originally brought to the shelter in 2017 after she began no longer getting along with the other cats in the home. She was adopted, but unfortunately, returned in January 2025 after her adopter's health began to fail. Casey is spayed, updated on her vaccinations, flea treated, dewormed, FIV tested negative, and microchipped.

This quiet little girl is more on the independent side, enjoying her alone time and attention in equal amounts and both on her terms. She does start to come out of her shell the more she knows you, so she's looking for a family that doesn't mind giving her the extra time she may need to get used to her new surroundings. Canned food is absolutely the way to Casey's heart.

Casey would do best in a home without any other cats or young children, but she very much enjoys the company of adults. She is housetrained.

If you are interested in adopting Casey, please fill out an adoption application using our website (echumanesociety.org) and a member of staff will be in touch with you as soon as possible. You are also more than welcome to stop in anytime during our regular business hours to meet Casey in person! Feel free to call the shelter at (814) 834-3247 if you have any questions.
