During one heavy rainstorm, she was swept away by the rushing water-but somehow found her way back to the very same spot, proving just how resilient and determined she is.<br/><br/>Carmen is missing one of her legs, which made it impossible for her to climb out of the drain on her own. Thankfully, a team of dedicated volunteers never gave up on her, and after plenty of patience and compassion, they were finally able to bring her to safety.<br/>Now, Carmen is discovering that life indoors has its perks. She's learning to enjoy gentle pets, the comforting routine of mealtime, and the unmistakable sound of a can of food being opened.
