Capuchin's Story
Capuchin is a precious, adorable Calico that will melt your heart! She has a lot of spunk and a curious side. Watching her explore new toys is a joy. Her favorite activity is running in and out of the expandable tunnels! Even though Capuchin is adventurous, she is loving, affectionate and purrs literally non-stop. Such a sweet kitten! And if you were looking for the purrfect pair, she and Marmoset are like two peas in a pod. SPECIAL NEEDS: Lifelong over the counter lubricating eye drops 2 times per day. Easy peasy! Because they have received eye drops since they were tiny, these cats are very cooperative getting them. They even purr the entire time. These kittens will take very special adopters but they are oh so sweet! They arrived with terribly infected eyes as two week old kittens that had to be bottle fed. Besides their eyes, they have thrived in every way. Capuchin and her siblings saw a veterinary eye specialist as they were born without upper eye lids. Their fur was rubbing on their eyes, and they had some vision loss from the early infection. Capuchin's left eye was removed, and she had cryotherapy on her the upper lid along her eye so that the fur will no longer grow into her eye and cause further pain and distress. Over their lives, their vision may worsen but it will happen slowly over time, and they are so rislient, they will adjust. Meet these special babies, Capuchin and Marmoset by completing our adoption application. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
