Capaldi's Story

Sweet lover boy Capaldi is looking for someone's lap to snooze in!

Despite his earlier rough road in life, including being returned to the shelter when prior owners could no longer care for him, he remains the sweetest cat who just wants a cozy bed and gentle pets. Capaldi still very much loves his people and warms up quickly, often jumping into your lap for some pets and chin scritches. Prior to coming to PAWS, he was found outside with a limp in his front paw. With some rest, his limp has resolved and he's getting back to curiously exploring the house, chasing feather toys, or leaping on the different levels of a cat tree. He also will gladly join you on the couch for a lazy day of relaxing too. He may even sleep in bed with you once he deems you a fellow Cool Kid. He was also found to have a heart murmur, and he is on a once daily preventative medication to keep his body healthy, which he takes each night. He also has a cough that is being monitored but is not causing him any distress currently.

Capaldi is happy to be your morning alarm clock, especially to signal breakfast time, but afterwards he's content to settle down for a snooze in a sunny windowsill. Capaldi will also escort you around the home to see what you're up to-- including for those bathroom business trips. He's a playful guy who can coexist peacefully with other cats, but would be best received by cats who are a little younger and don't mind getting down with some playtime shenanigans. He loves playtime- any toy he can chase or wrestle with!- and doesn't mind being picked up, either. Per his foster, he is "just the silliest boy. He is so chill and goes with the flow. You can pick him up easily, and I love how he waddles. We call him Capaldi because he has such sad boy eyes (so we named him after Lewis Calapdi who sings love songs)."

------------------------------------

This cat is currently located in a PAWS foster home. Please email their foster parent Natalie at natalie.katchmar@gmail.com to learn more about them!

In order to meet any cats in foster care, you will need to have an approved application first. To get the adoption process started, please submit an adoption application online at phillypaws.org/catapp.

If you have any questions for our adoption team, feel free to email adoptions@phillypaws.org or call 215-238-9901 ext. 30.
