Camilla's Story
Meet Camilla!

Camilla is a beautiful 6 - 10 year old Tortoiseshell cat that came into our care as a stray, and went unclaimed. When she first came in it was apparent that she had been on her own for quite some time. She was under weight, covered in fleas, dealing with some hair loss due to fleas, and just in need of some TLC. We got her to the vet right away and it was noted at that time that she had a distended belly due to fluid build up. Her diagnosis was FIP, Feline Infectious Peritonitis. This diagnosis used to be a terminal illness for cats but recently a treatment was found to help cats defeat FIP. Our shelter was able to get funding for the treatment and so far Camilla is responding very well after being on the medication for a full month. While Camilla isn't out of the woods yet as she still has a couple months left of treatment we have high hopes that she can defeat FIP.

Despite Camilla having FIP and not feeling the best in the beginning she has always been a super sweet cat that loves to get attention from anyone that will stop to pet her. Since she is older she doesn't seem to have the desire to play but she does explore at a leisurely pace. She also enjoys snuggling up in a fluffy warm bed and would make someone a great snuggle partner.

If interested in adopting Camilla please fill out an application online by going to this link: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RAB/Cat
