Calypso is looking for an experienced and patient cat person. She spent her entire life outside before coming into foster care. She came into foster care about 8 months ago. She had beautiful kittens when she came to us. They have all been adopted. <br/><br/>Let's be honest in everything. She is a sweet girl, but she loves on her own terms. You can pet her one time and she will allow it, the next she may snap you for trying the next time. Some days she will let you hold her, other days she will not. Typical finicky cat behavior. She doesn't like all cats, but she can cohabitate with them. She lives in a building with numerous other cats with no real issues. She has been around large dogs with no real issues. She spent her life outside so care needs to be taken when opening doors. She loves looking out the window. She has gotten out of our building a few times, but doesn't leave our property. SCDR policy says she can only be kept inside. It also says if there are issues, she must be returned to SCDR. <br/><br/>We are hoping in a home with lots of one on one attention she will learn to fully trust people and modify her behavior. We recommend no children and a quiet home. Yes we put all her bad habits out there because we don't want her traumatized any more than she has been. Thank you for your interest. <br/><br/>SCDR has cats for adoption at both PetSmart Stores in Lubbock as well as both Pet Supplies Plus.
