He is approximately 6 years old.<br/><br/>This almost-all-black domestic shorthair (with just a small white patch on his lower belly) has striking yellow-green eyes and a deep love for human attention of any kind. Though he was captured on the streets and arrived with some injuries, he has healed beautifully. It is also clear that he was loved by humans at some point in his life - he settled into affection far too easily for it to be unfamiliar.<br/><br/>He enjoys long walks from the couch to wherever you are, has mastered the art of being a Velcro cat with excellent manners, and meows with his whole little chubby face whenever he wants your attention (which is often). His favorite things include Temptations treats (helpful for redirection) and string toys, though his enthusiasm tends to outweigh his vertical leap.<br/><br/>What Calvin’s looking for in a home:<br/><br/> - He has lots of energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.<br/> - He feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment.<br/> - He needs to live indoors only.<br/> - He has no known history with other cats.<br/> - He has no known history with dogs.<br/> - He needs children to respect his space.<br/> - He has no known history with children.<br/><br/>All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:<br/><br/> - $200 per cat or kitten<br/> - $350 for pair of cats or kittens<br/> - $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)<br/> - Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care<br/> - Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest in adopting Calvin!
