Callie's Story

Available for adoption immediately please read!

Meet Callie a 10 year old spayed female kitty. Callie has a bum front leg but gets around fine with a slight limp or on 3 legs. She does have some arthritis however; she negotiates small cat trees just fine. She is overweight and isn’t able to groom herself all the way and had to have some mats shaved off her back but she is clean everywhere else. She is visibly otherwise healthy per the doctor.

We just got her 12/26 so she is a bit shy and reserved. We did pet her quite a bit when we got her. She is hanging out in a little cat tree right now try to figure everything out.

Callie’s background is sad and unclear. She loves to be petted. We know she doesn’t like big dogs. She may or may not like little dogs. She has lived with other cats but it’s been awhile. She does not like riding in the car. She may thrive in a quiet home with few or no other pets.

Callie’s story is a sad one. She was brought to the veterinarian to be euthanized because the people were moving. From what we gather she was a military couples cat being cared for by the parents. She didn’t get along with the parent’s dog so she was forced to live in the garage for the past couple of years. Apparently at first there was another cat with her for company and then for whatever reason she was alone and just fed and watered. It’s unclear who exactly was moving but they said it was complicated so they just wanted to euthanize Callie. Thankfully the veterinarian refused to do that and contacted us.

Callie is a sweet kitty that deserves to live out her life. This is all the information we have and or can obtain on Callie. Callie will be adopted as is and there is no adoption fee. If you are interested in giving this sweet girl her forever indoor only loving home please contact Trent.
