Callie's Story
Meet Callie

Callie had a tough life before she came to The Rescue Pack. A caring woman started feeding when she noticed that she was showing up and was very hungry. She disappeared for about 5 days and when she showed up again, she was dragging herself across the yard by her front legs. Something or someone had hurt her and left her to survive on her own. Afraid of being hurt again, she was leary of being touched. The woman contacted us and we agreed to take her. She was taken directly to the Vets to relieve her pain and determine what could be done to regain the use of her back left leg. Callie went through a series of red light and nerve stimulant treatments, but nothing improved the use of the leg. It was decided to amputate so eliminate the pain and that she Would feel better and have a happy life.

Callie is very lovable and friendly, once she gets to know you and trusts you. She and loves to sit on your lap and watch TV with you or lay on your chest for sleeping at night. She is a bit of a "talker" when it is dinner time and when she wants your attention. Callie is very food motivated and she loves treats. She is very agile has adapted very well to being 3-legged. She can get up on the sofa without assistance and easily goes up and down stairs.

One of Callie's favorite things is to get head and ear scratches and face rubs, since she is missing one back leg it is hard for her to give herself head scratches.
If you are looking for a sweet, loving and friendly cat that doesn't act as if she has a handicap, you will love Callie. She is in love with life.

Callie has been spayed and microchipped as part of the adoption fee.
All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed.

If you are interested in meeting Callie, please go to our website and fill out a cat application.
https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application
