Calista's Story
This sweet young girl was living with a colony of other intact cats behind a restaurant on a very busy New Port Richey Street. While the rest of her group had to be trapped for TNR, Calista was so friendly, we were able to simply pick her up and bring her to our Sanctuary, where she waited for her spay day.
During surgery, it was discovered that Calista had a ruptured uterus, which involved her liver and spleen. The skeletal remains of a single kitten remained in her womb. It's fortunate that we got her in time before the infection became life threatening. Thanks to skilled veterinary intervention, Calista has recovered from this ordeal very nicely.
If you'd love to have a sweet and gentle lap cat as your companion, a girl who also likes a little independence to just chill in the sunlight (indoors ONLY!), Calista may be the girl for you!
If you are interested in meeting Calista, please fill out an application by clicking MORE ABOUT US (below), then click on ADOPTION APPLICATION.
