Calamity Jane's Story

Meet Calamity Jane, a rootin', tootin', plucky little cowgirl! When Jane was 2 weeks old, she was found by an FSUSD teacher who fosters for our program. Initially, we gave 'him' the name Chimelo, but made an update when we realized we goofed (she was little and squiggly-lol!). This name perfectly matches her social, happy go-lucky personality so well that she immediately recognized it. Jane needs a high-energy playmate, an indoor-only home (FOREVER, she will follow anyone she meets and run into the street to make friends), and positive reinforcement to curb her blossoming 'toddler' behaviors (teething and climbing the walls).

This foster home raises our orphaned kittens or bottle babies. They have advanced skills and work with fading kittens with the help of our medical team. Their foster kittens are typically 'bombproof' with dogs, cats, and kids. They travel back and forth to the vet for special visits, demand constant attention, and are generally social butterflies.

Thank you for learning more about me! Fosters are microchipped, combo tested for FIV/FELV, spayed/neutered, treated for fleas/parasites, and receive age/wellness appropriate vaccines. We lovingly pack a Welcome Home Hero gift bag with their favorite toys, treats, a comic to read with them, and a blanket that helps them feel safe anywhere they go. Super Furiends Rescue is a nonprofit 501c3 organization located in Solano County, CA.

Super Fur-iends's Adoption Policy
Once you apply, we will review your application and reach out to you via email, text, or phone. We offer three adoption options. A private meet and greet* at a volunteer’s home can be arranged, we ask for a $25, non-refundable hold fee that is either deducted from your adoption fee or converted into a donation. This fee was designed to ensure our volunteers have a commitment before making arrangements and so the cat/kitten is provided for while they wait for a home. If you plan to join us at an event, apply ahead of time so we can give you a schedule of when heroes who would love your home will be available. Our remote option is best for those who don’t live in Solano County. You’ll be connected to the foster family of your hero who can tell you all of their favorites and share pictures and videos. We will coordinate a place and time for the adoption-we can make accommodations for in-home adoptions.
