Button is a friendly little black female kitten who, along with her siblings Thimble, Trinket, and Marble, got her start in the garage of a Good Samaritan where they were born. Their kind human fed and cared for the family until the kittens were old enough to be safely secured by a local grassroots rescue.<br/><br/>Momma was a little too zesty for indoor life, so she was spayed and returned to her community home, where our Good Samaritan continues to make sure she is fed and cared for. <br/><br/>Once Button arrived at rescue, she spent time in one of our loving foster homes, where she was gently handled, loved on, and socialized. That one on one attention helped her learn that people are wonderful and that a cozy home is a pretty great place to be! <br/><br/>Button has also been:<br/> Spayed<br/> Vaccinated<br/> Microchipped<br/> Treated for ear mites<br/> Treated for a common upper respiratory infection<br/>Now this sweet girl is ready to find her forever family!<br/><br/>Button may be dressed in classic black, but there is nothing gloomy about this girl. Sadly, black cats (and black dogs too) are often overlooked by adopters. But black pets have some pretty wonderful lore surrounding them! Across different cultures and throughout history, black cats have been associated with good fortune, prosperity, protection, and blessings. <br/><br/>And really, what could be luckier than having a little Button in your life? She's friendly, she's been lovingly socialized, she's received the care she needed, and she's ready to trade her foster adventures for a forever home of her own. Adopt Button. Let this lucky little lady bring some magic into your life!<br/><br/>The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
