Butters has been through quite the journey to get to where he is now. From street cat to FIP survivor, he has earned a wonderful forever home!<br/><br/>Butters is gentle and kind and will accompany you to the kitchen, the bathroom, or bed at any time. He loves to observe the life around him, whether that be the leaves blowing in the wind, the birds on the front stoop, or his entertaining foster siblings. He sits with such a beautiful posture, you'd think he was a sketch model in his past life. If you truly wish to break his stance though, all you have to do is get a wand toy or catnip banana or present love with head scratches and forehead kisses. He doesn’t demand loads of attention, but he does love it!<br/><br/>Though Butters looks like a mountain lion, he is the most polite and sensitive housecat who respects boundaries! He doesn't start any fights with his foster kitty siblings and gets along well with dogs. While he is not the kind of cat to sit on your lap or lie on you in bed, he is the kind of cat that will jump on the couch next to you and sleep at the foot of the bed.<br/><br/>Currently in foster care in Glendale. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.<br/><br/>We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized.<br/><br/>We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis.<br/><br/>When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family.<br/><br/>If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.<br/>If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.<br/>Please send us an email at delgatorescue@gmail.com to be a part of our rescue community.
