Meet Buttercup, a gentle, nurturing cat who doesn’t hesitate when showing her affection. She’s devoted to her person and will often check in when she sees you’ve been resting, whether out of concern or simply because she likes to sleep by your feet. Buttercup is also happy to play with interactive cat teasers, and always makes sure no food goes to waste. <br/><br/>Buttercup is a bonded pair with her playful sister Bubbles. They arrived at CCR around with five other cats and kittens after a schoolteacher discovered that a student’s family was going to leave them after moving. Within 24 hours, CCR had picked up all the cats, including sisters Bubbles and Buttercup!The two are very comfortable with each other and adapt quickly to new environments, ready to explore and make themselves comfortable. Most of our foster families reside on the north side of the city. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.<br/><br/>At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. In our experience, most cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.<br/><br/>Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.<br/><br/>Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes.
