Buttercup's Story

Buttercup was born to a feral mom in an Ontario Colony and scooped up at six weeks old when their mama was caught, spayed, and returned to her home neighborhood. Buttercup and her two sisters were young enough to be socialized so they were brought to Cats & Cuddles so they could be prepared to live a VIP indoor life!

Buttercup can be more than a bit shy, but when she's given the opportunity to relax and get to know you she can become a very sweet and loving little gal. Despite her perpetually-worried expression, it doesn't take more than a good ear scritch to get her purring and melting in your arms (though treats don't hurt-- and we're not above cheating some positive reinforcement for our shyer fosters!)

When she isn't loafing, this tortie girl has a lot of energy and loves to play! Mostly with feather wand toys-- though she won't turn her nose up to a bell ball. Her favorite is definitely wrestling with her sisters-- or her older foster sister, Dot!

We would love for Buttercup to be adopted with Dot, or into a home with another friendly feline that loves to play. Buttercup has experience with getting along with her two littermates as well as an older cat she is unrelated to and a very young kitten she is unrelated to, so we know that she can thrive with proper introductions and complimentary personalities!

Buttercup has been spayed, vaccinated, deflea'd, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $175 and is payable to Cats & Cuddles, a local non-profit rescue that is dedicated to finding friendly kitties homes and helping stop the cycle of kittens being born on the rough streets to ever expanding feral colonies!

If you would like to meet Buttercup (or Dot and Buttercup!) please email their foster to receive an application to fill out: catsandcuddles.info@gmail.com-- or download an application from our website: catsandcuddles.carrd.co and email it to the same! Our entire adoption process is laid out for transparency/reference on the website.
