Butterball's Story

Meet Butterball, a 10-year-old orange tabby with no teeth, a big personality, and very strong opinions about indoor living.

It's pretty clear Butterball spent most of her life outdoors, living life on her own terms. The shelter environment has been a hard adjustment for this cranky little senior, and while she may not be winning any “Miss Congeniality” awards anytime soon, we can't entirely blame her. She misses the fresh air, the freedom to roam, and probably the thrill of hunting mice, even toothless they don't stand a chance against her determination.

Butterball is independent, spicy, and happiest when she's allowed to simply exist without too many expectations. She's not looking to be someone's cuddle buddy, but she may be the perfect fit for a barn, shop, or quiet property where she can enjoy a safe place to land while still keeping a bit of the outdoor lifestyle she clearly loves.

Underneath all that sass is an old girl who's likely spent her whole life surviving the best way she knew how. We'd love to see Butterball find a place where she can finally relax, patrol her kingdom, and enjoy her golden years in peace.
