Buster is a handsome, sweet-natured one-year-old who is looking for a soft place to land. He is a sensitive soul who just needs a little extra time and a quiet corner to show you who he really is. Once he feels safe, he transforms into a total sweetheart --a lap cat who lives for snuggles and still has a little kitten energy when it's time to chase his favorite toys. Because Buster has a beautiful, plush coat, he'll need a family who enjoys the quiet ritual of regular brushing. It's a great way to keep him looking his best and prevent tangles, but more importantly, it's a wonderful way to bond with him while he purrs away in your lap. Buster's ideal home is a peaceful one. He can find a lot of "hustle and bustle" a bit overwhelming, so he's looking for a patient environment where he can decompress at his own speed. He would be so happy to have a calm, confident cat friend to show him the ropes and help him find his bravery. While a quiet, dog-free home is his preference, he might be okay with a very mellow, cat-savvy dog after a slow introduction. If you have children, we ask that they be at least 8 years old and understand the importance of being gentle and quiet with a shy guy like him. If you have a calm home and a lot of love to give, Buster is ready to be your best friend!
