BURNADETTE's Story

Hi! My name is Burnadette and I am available for adoption. I was brought to RASKC on May 13, 2026. I had 4 kittens so I went into a wonderful foster home so I could continue being a mom to them! They are now grown so I am ready to find my forever family. My foster says this about me, Burnadette is a sweetheart. She's never tried to scratch or bite us, though she is very reserved and does not like being picked up. Careful attention and patience will go a long way with her. I think she will open up as she becomes comfortable in her forever home. She hasn't tried to interact with our dog or cats within the house. She prefers to stay in the kitten room, even when her babies are exploring. She's very quiet and happy to nap the day away. She likes to scratch on cardboard scratching toys and enjoys a good catnip kicker. We're hoping she can find a wonderful place with someone who will let her take the lead and slowly get comfortable in her new home. Come meet her and find out how sweet she can be! Your new pet received a basic physical exam, in addition to routine vaccines, deworming, and topical flea preventative, if indicated. Although your new pet is ready for adoption, there is always a possibility of additional medical conditions that have not been detected or may develop in the future. Current medical conditions are noted below. 1) Hematuria (blood in urine) - at time of surgery, she was noted to have bloody urine. This was submitted for urinalysis. Results showed some blood and a few bacteria. She was given a long acting antibiotic injection in case of a urinary tract infection. Other causes include feline idiopathic cystitis/FIC/FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease), crystals, stone, other. Please follow up with your regular vet on diagnostic and treatment/management recommendations. 2) Mild dental disease - this cat was noted to have mild dental disease with focal discoloration, gingivitis, and tartar on her upper back teeth. Please follow up with your regular vet or veterinary dentist for treatment/management recommendations. Additional care for these conditions may be needed after adoption. Please follow up with your regular veterinarian.
