Buddy

Buddy is an extremely sweet, affectionate 9-year-old tabby cat. He was a longtime stray in the courtyard of a housing complex, relying on neighbors to feed him. He seems very happy to have left that life behind. He has been in a foster home for six weeks and his foster mom says he enjoys hanging out with her. He sits by her legs if she is in her recliner and sleeps at the foot of her bed every night. He likes to watch cat TV on YouTube, watch the birds and other critters out the window, and his favorite game is chasing the wand toy. <br/><br/>During his vet appointment, we found out that Buddy is FIV+. We are looking for a home with either no other cats or other FIV-positive cats for him. Many cats live long and healthy lives with FIV as long as they are kept indoors, fed a healthy diet, and are seen regularly by a veterinarian. We offer same-day adoptions, so if the cat is a fit, you can take them home the day of your meeting.<br/><br/>If a cat is listed on our website, it is still available for adoption, but applications may have been received before yours.<br/><br/>All adoption meetings are by appointment only. The adoption fee for cats seven months to two years old is $250 for one cat and $350 for a pair; for cats three years to ten years old, it is $200 for one cat and $300 for a pair; and for senior cats 11 years and over, it is $125. The fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip testing, testing for FeLV and FIV, and spaying/ neutering.
