Bucky's Story

Meet Bucky

Bucky is a sweet, playful kitten with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. Though he may be tiny, he's already proven to be one tough little survivor.

Bucky was found in Southwest Philadelphia during the demolition of a building. When no one wanted him, he was cruelly tossed to the side of the road — but thankfully, a kind young man stepped in, rescued him, and made sure he got the care and safety he deserved.

This brave little guy has been diagnosed with entropion, a condition where the eyelids roll inward, causing irritation to the eyes. Bucky will need corrective surgery when he is around 6 months old to keep him comfortable and protect his vision long-term. The wonderful news is that the rescue will fully cover the cost of his surgery through their veterinary partner. Because of this, Bucky's adopter must live within 45 minutes of the rescue in Chalfont so he can receive his procedure and follow-up care.

Before adoption, Bucky will be neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, disease and parasite free, and microchipped.

Despite his difficult start, Bucky hasn't let the world harden him.
