She did not get claimed or have a microchip so she is a Waverly Pet Rescue kitty now. She was fed for 4 months by a kind lady and she asked us to take her in when it started to get cold. Bubbles has now been spayed, is up to date on shots, and tested negative for FeLV / FIV. <br/><br/>Bubbles is about 4 years old as of January 2025. She has been in a foster home after getting vetted. She was very scared and frightened to be in a home and of her foster mom. I wonder if this is the first time she has ever been in a home before? Her foster mom started her off in a large cage to help her settle in and feel safe. She hid for several weeks. She ate well, drinks water, and used her litter box. Slowly she has decided she can trust her foster mom and is now friendly to her after 4 months of getting to know each other. This process takes love, kindness, patience, and time.<br/><br/>Bubbles loves to eat. She still gobbles down her food. Some day maybe she will slow down once we realizes she will never go hungry again. She loves sleeping in a soft cozy bed. She likes to be petted. She is not a big fan of being held but will let me for a short period of time. She does well with other cats. She has not been around dogs. She would be best in a quiet home without young children.<br/><br/>It may takes months or years for Bubbles to completely settle in and adjust to a new home. She needs an owner willing to give her that time needed. She is a beautiful and sweet girl. I think she has Siamese in her based on her looks but don't know that for sure. Will try to get better pictures of her soon.<br/><br/>3/31/24 Puff & Bubbles came in together back in 2022. We have noticed over the last year that they are very bonded to each other so are now requiring they get adopted together into the same home. Both Puff and Bubbles do great with all other cats. They seek out their foster mom for love all the time and follow her around. They would do well in any home with a cat person willing to give them all the time they need to adjust to a new home.<br/><br/><br/>Bubbles's adoption fee is $95.00.<br/><br/><br/>WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com<br/><br/>All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.<br/>Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office
