Brownie's Story

This handsome gray Domestic Shorthair was born on 6/19/2018 and has quite the story of resilience. He was found abandoned and brought to ACCT Philly wearing a collar. At the time, he was struggling with severe dental disease, an upper respiratory infection, and anemia caused by fleas.

Thanks to lots of care and love, he has made an incredible recovery and is now a happy, healthy boy ready for a forever home.

Today he weighs a healthy 10.5 pounds, is FIV/FeLV negative. Because of his dental issues, all of his teeth were removed, and his mouth now looks great. The good news? Cats do amazingly well without teeth—and he certainly does!

Personality:

This sweet guy is incredibly friendly and affectionate. He’s a true lap cat who loves being close to his people and soaking up attention. He has a gentle, loving disposition and is the kind of companion who quickly becomes part of your daily routine. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his personality really shines. He’s chatty enough to keep you company, but not overly vocal.

The Details:
*Loves dry kibble and Churu treats (no interest in wet food—he’s made that very clear!)
*Excellent with the litter box
Tolerates brushing and nail trims well
*Easy to medicate
*Very people-oriented and bonds strongly with his humans

He didn’t mingle with resident cats in his foster home, so he would likely do best as the only cat, where he can soak up all the love and attention. With his affectionate personality, he will absolutely thrive as the center of someone’s world.

He hasn’t been around children in foster care, but with his gentle nature he may do well with respectful kids.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily curl up in your lap and keep you company, this special boy is ready to steal your heart.

Trust us—he’s an easy cat to fall in love with. ❤️
