Brooks's Story
The first thing you'll probably notice about Brooks is that he only has one eye!

When he and his siblings came to Pawsitive Hope, they had upper respiratory infections, which caused severe inflammation/swelling and irritation of one of Brooks' eyes. After attempting to treat it with several different ointments, drops, and other medications that didn't help it resolve, we determined the best option was to remove it.

Aside from the appearance, you'd never know Brooks is missing an eye - it doesn't seem to bother him at all! He's just as playful and active as you'd expect from any kitten.

A tad more reserved than his siblings, Brooks doesn't demand attention, but never resists it when he's scooped up to be held. It's not his natural inclination to be sitting ON someone, but he's always right beside them.
