BROOKS's Story

Brooks is a sweet, sensitive boy who is still learning that he is safe. He has been very shy in his foster home, spending much of his time tucked away in a closet, but he has a special way of asking for attention—he’ll invite his foster to come to his hiding spot for pets and will happily come out for treats before retreating to his cozy hideaway. Brooks has been bullied by the cat he was surrendered with, which may be contributing to his lack of confidence. We believe he may blossom in a **quiet, cat-free home** where he can relax without feeling watched or chased. He isn’t a lap cat and doesn’t enjoy being picked up, yet, but he loves gentle attention on his terms and has a genuinely sweet disposition. Brooks needs someone who will be patient, let him set the pace, and celebrate the little victories.
