Brisket + Merlot's Story
Brisket & Merlot are a bonded pair of affectionate, cuddly boys who are ready to bring double the love into someones life.

These two adore each other and truly thrive together. They play, they lounge, they keep each other company and when its time for affection, theyre more than happy to include you. Both boys enjoy being held and are incredibly sweet with their people.

Merlot is a certified belly-rub enthusiast, happily rolling over for attention like its his full-time job. Brisket, on the other hand, melts under a good chin scratch and will lean right in for more. Together, they are gentle, loving, and completely adorable.

Brisket and Merlot are FIV positive, which sounds scarier than it is. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) simply means their immune systems may be a little weaker than average. With regular vet care, a low-stress indoor home, and good nutrition, FIV+ cats can live long, happy, completely normal lives. They can also safely live with other friendly cats. It is not easily spread through casual contact like sharing bowls, grooming, or playing it primarily requires deep bite wounds, which are uncommon in stable, friendly households.

We strongly recommend they be adopted together, both because of their bond and because having a trusted companion benefits FIV+ cats emotionally and socially. They also share their room with another wonderful FIV+ gentleman, Reed, who would make an equally lovely companion. If youve been considering opening your home to more than two, this trio could be something truly special.

If youre looking for two sweet, snuggly boys who will fill your home with warmth (and maybe a few shared belly rub sessions), Brisket and Merlot are ready.

If youre interested in Brisket and Merlot, fill out an application at https://fourfootedfriends.org/adopt/
