Brie's Story

Meet Brie

Brie is almost 6 years old and quite possibly the tiniest little butterball turkey you’ve ever met. She’s sassy, funny, loving, determined and full of personality packed into one very round package. Once up for euthanasia simply because she was overweight, Brie is now on her healthy journey and improving more every single week.

Her absolute favourite thing in the world is getting brushed. The second the brush comes out, she melts into a happy little puddle and gives you the best tongue-out smile imaginable. She also LOVES to play and has the funniest little waddles, zoomies and potato moments that make everyone laugh.

Brie has had her vaccines updated, a full dental cleaning under anesthesia and a mouth lesion removed and biopsied. Thankfully the biopsy came back benign and was caused by severe tartar buildup. Her dental x-rays showed healthy teeth and everything has since been cleaned up beautifully.

She still has some weight to lose and will need a family committed to continuing her healthy journey slowly and safely. Brie can now almost fully clean her own bum on her own, but she may occasionally benefit from a little touch-up help now and then while she continues losing weight.

Brie does okay with other cats but can be selective about her friends. She would likely do best with respectful cats or as the spoiled centre of attention. More than anything, she wants people who will love her for exactly who she is while helping her continue becoming the healthiest version of herself.

Honestly, she’s one of the funniest potatoes we’ve ever met. Brie’s adoption fee has been generously sponsored by a donor.
