Brave (& Akari)'s Story
Meet Brave!
Brave is an independent yet affectionate kitten with a gentle personality. True to his name, he has grown into a confident little cat. He used to be skittish, but now he happily greets visitors and enjoys being petted. Brave isn’t a lap cat, but he shows his affection in his own way by lying next to you and soaking up scratches.

Brave loves playtime, chasing little toy balls, mice, and laser lights are his favorite activities. He also enjoys playing and running around with other cats, and he has done especially well with his foster family’s cats. While he may not climb into your lap, his unique mix of independence and affection makes him a wonderful companion for anyone who wants a sweet, playful, and easygoing friend.

He is a bonded pair with his brother Akari. Akari and Brave were found together as tiny kittens in a box near Humboldt Park. Their mother was nowhere to be found, so their foster family stepped in to give them the love and care they needed. Today, they’re thriving, social, playful, and ready for forever homes. Both are comfortable with new people, playful with other cats, and sure to bring lots of joy, fun, and affection into their new families’ lives.

Akari and Brave love playing together and also enjoy spending time with the other cats in their foster home. They both purr when petted and have warmed up beautifully to new people. Since they’ve grown up side by side, they share a strong connection and are happiest when they’re together. Akari and Brave are looking for a forever home where they can stay as a pair, bringing double the love, double the purrs, and double the joy.

If you would like to learn more about ___and ___, and arrange to meet them, please email info@chicagocatrescue.org for the quickest reply, or call 773/203-0215. Most of our foster families reside on the north side of the city. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.

At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. In our experience, most cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.

Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.

Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, foster@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
