Bradley's Story

Meet Bradley — the cat behind the movement. ❤️

Enfield Community Cat Project rescued Bradley from the condemned Bradley Inn in Windsor Locks, the very case that inspired the push for Bradley’s Law. And while his journey hasn’t been easy, this handsome boy continues to make incredible progress every single day.

Bradley is about 2 years old and, understandably, carries anxiety from everything he endured. He is currently on anxiety medication, which has helped him tremendously as he learns what safety, comfort, and love truly feel like. Despite his fears, Bradley is unbelievably affectionate. He will curl up on your lap and stay there for as long as you let him. Truly — this boy just wants to be loved.

One of the biggest milestones recently? He started climbing into the cat tree. That may sound small, but for Bradley, it’s huge. When he first came to us, he would stay frozen in one spot in his room, too scared to venture out. Seeing him explore, gain confidence, and slowly blossom has been incredibly emotional for all of us.

We think Bradley would do best in a quieter home with someone home often. He may also enjoy a confident, gentle feline friend — a cat that can help him continue building confidence, but would never bully or overwhelm him.

Bradley is:
🐾 Neutered
🐾 SNAP tested negative for FIV/FeLV
🐾 Microchipped
🐾 Extremely affectionate
🐾 Looking for a patient, understanding adopter willing to continue helping him heal

This is a cat who survived abandonment, fear, and unimaginable uncertainty. Now he deserves the soft landing he never had before.

If you think you may be Bradley’s person, please fill out an application on our website.

https://www.enfieldcommunitycatproject.com/
