Bovine's Story

Meet Bovine! This little catlike, dust-fluff, semi-cow creature came to TCR with his siblings several months ago, and man was he not impressed by us. He's really perfected the art of projecting his attitude across the room with a single "look".

After several months in foster, Bovine can't help but like us just a little. He's a silly goofball who is 99% talk - he still hisses and pretends that he doesn't want affection... but then we see him giving butt raises and even leaning in for pets. He EVEN purrs for us now.

Bovine will need a family who can be patient with him at first and help him continue to learn that humans aren't so bad. He has never been aggressive with us but will avoid you if he's not sure about you. He can be pretty easily bribed with one of this favorite things - FOOD - so that is a good time to reinforce that pets are also great. Bovine gets along great with other cats and would thrive best in a home with another kitty pal... although he can be a bit of a turd when it comes to trying to steal everyone else's food dish. We think he could do OK with older, respectful kiddos, although young or very loud kids might be a bit much for him. We think he has so much potential, and he is just looking for the right family to help him get the rest of the way there!

Bovine is a little over a year old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. He has a very long and floofy coat which is currently trimmed down to prevent him from getting matted. His future adopter will have to be amenable to keeping up with regular brushings once he learns to tolerate that! Please apply to adopt this sweet and beautiful boy, today!

Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
