Bounce's Story

Bounce: purry, chill, people kitty

Bounce's story: I was adopted with my sister 14 years ago. We were cool with a baby that turned into a kid, and a mom that gave us plenty of attention. I was never truly bonded with my sis, Princess, but we are fine together. Then 4 years after we were adopted came Roxy, a kitten. She was fine, a bit too hyper for my taste and she does not care for me at all. And 10 years later, she was still around, and with attitude I do not care for.

Recently my person was evicted. I was sent to Rhode Island to be with a family member and his cat who hates me, tore up my ear, tortured me, and finally my person got me back and reunited me with my sister and the jerk, Roxy, at a foster home of Fitchburg Friends of Felines.

My foster mom is cool. She gives me attention whenever needed, and lets me sleep on her at night, which Imis fine, unless Roxy tries to get too comfortable near me and swats me. My foster ris good at deflecting her and moving her to a place far enough from me that she is not bothered by me, and still next to the foster mom.... So it is all good!

I am more of a lover than a fighter when with my sister and foster mom, but my foster mom has cats. I am not a fan. I hiss and growl, so after a few tries at integration with the other cats, my foster mom just keeps me separated from them. I don't mind that at all. I may have been traumatized by the Rhode Island cat, and not ready to move on yet and try again with other cats.

I have been around dogs as well, which I didn't have an issue with, either. My foster mom calls me a California Cat . Just hanging loose and chill.

I do come with a bad habit. At my foster home I have discovered this chair that I really like. She keeps it covered in plastic and a pee pad on it so I can pee there. Admittedly, not a desirable trait, as I have a litter box accessible to me. Maybe in my new home without this chair this habit will break.

My former person was not able to take me to the vet in recent years, so I was in need of a few things to be done.

I had a procedure in September 2025 to remove a silver dollar size welt on my leg, which turned out to be cancer. . Luckily , I was told this is localized and they got it all, so it should never return and I amCancer free!

Now onto the dental I also need!

I should be adoptable once the dental is done. So I thr meantime, foster me! So you can realize how much you want to adopt me!

I am a very happy, loving boy, and a very good purr baby. Look at me, I purr. You are welcome.

My ideal home would be In a space with or without my sister, but not other kitties. My roommate, Roxy cannot come, slShe is too mean to me. I definitely need humans, so if other 4 legged non-kitties are around, I am not adverse to that, as long as my humans are available to me when I need attention, and at night for sleeping.

Fitchburg Friends of Felines facilitates a foster to adopt program that places the intended adoptee with the potential adoptive family. This ensures that your feline companion is the perfect fit as well as provides support as you both transition into your new life together.

You can fill out an adoption application here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe1685w60NjfU2eeE55Cd57TAaEZU7bERjyY825EMto48sTQw/viewform

Please reach out to Fitchburg Friends of Felines directly at 978-222-3170 or fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com with questions. Fitchburg Friends of Felines, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are required to have a solid character reference, vet reference, and a site visit which can be conducted virtually. Due to MA regulations, we cannot intake pets from out of state. We offer a foster to adopt program to guarantee the intended kitty is a good fit for your family. We also require that all adopters agree to return the kitty should the adopter no longer be able to care for him or her in the future, or an agreed to person is identified to continue care for this kitty. We are not a brick and mortar; all available cats are kept in foster homes. Therefore, we would need time to schedule a visit to meet a kitty. We are happy to travel to match the perfect kitty for your family. Our adoption fees are normally $250 per cat, $350 for specialty breeds or exotics, and $50 less per kitty if interested in multiples. For specific questions, or for an adoption application, please feel free to reach out to us directly: fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com or call our hotline: 978-222-3170
