Boots's Story
Hi, my name is Boots and my brother, Banjo, and I could really use your help! Our human mom moved and couldn't take us with her because a big dog that already has a bad reputation lives there. She asked SCC to find us a home where we can be together. I am about 6 1/2 years old and have a handsome black & white tuxedo coat. I have been on a wellness plan and I even had a dental cleaning - no issues there! I had a UTI but there was no blockage. My vet said I should be on the RX diet for preventative measures so, I eat Royal Canin SO and it is easily managed. It is a bit more expensive than the regular over-the-counter food, but not that much more than good quality food (and I don't eat much). I do like to sneak my brother's food from time to time, so we need to be separated when we eat. I would not say that I am timid, but I might be more reserved around new people, initially. I do like attention and chin scratches. I am sort of food motivated and even when my brother and I were eating the same food - I always tried to eat his first. I am not really a 'lap-cat', but I do like to hang out with my people. I haven't been around kids, but the older ones might be ok. The younger ones can be a bit noisy. Dogs are a big no. We sometimes see cats outside and I have been known to be a bit of an over-reactor - getting all puffed up and hissy. My brother even gets in on the act. So, maybe another cat might not be such a good idea either but slow introductions are always best. I have lived an indoor life and that suits me just fine. I am current on my vaccines, microchipped and very good with the litterbox. So, if you have room in your home and heart for one or two lovable boys, fill out that online application and let's set up a meeting!!If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.
