What is Boone County Animal Services’s adoption process?

Thank you for viewing one of may of our adoptable pets at Boone County Animal Service's. Adoption fee for cats is $85, this includes their spay/neuter, distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine ,in house flea preventative and FeLv/FIV screening and vet wellness check. Dog adoption fee is $175, or $150 for senior dogs (8+). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, DA2PP vaccine and a heartworm test as well as in house flea preventative. To begin the adoption process, we ask that you complete an application. The application can be found at www.boonecountyil.org under Animal Services. You may also pick one up at our shelter 4546 Squaw Prairie, Belvidere IL 61008. We will do out of area adoptions. We appreciate your support. By adopting from us you create a space in our shelter that allows us to help another animal in the Boone County area.
